Dave terrorises the South West :-)
Getting back from Cornwall wasn't as bad as it could have been - we travelled at night, to avoid baking heat and traffic queues, and it worked very well. I was a little confused to discover I *hadn't* missed the Primeval finale, so yay! but wait until next week? Oh noes! So, washing machine on non-stop, and keeping out of the baking heat having had enough of it already?! *admires slight unavoidable tan* Here's our holiday pics with added Dave...
Bristol!
Enjoyed the City Museum, especially a little winged torso ;)

Dave liked climbing the Camarasaurus leg...

The dino is soooo big, it needs two pics. Hard to imagine the size of these beasts even with leg bones in front of you.
Spot The Dave, anyone?

Dave had fun with this baby Scelidosaur :-)

Then we wandered down to Millenium Square, which had wonderful water features, fantastic in the sunny weather. This was early evening, and it was glorious. Dave paddled...

Bristol Zoo was actually very good, and the Indian fruit bats were AMAZING! HUGE!! Dave was scared, I think... This is one hanging off a standard sized guttering...
We finally made it to Cornwall and enjoyed the beach near our campsite, within sight of the lighthouse off Land's End. Red flags were up, so no swimming (yeah, like we were going to - do you know how cold it is??) but the RNLI lifeguards were still around... :D

Land's End! Dave conquers the South West! These are the rocks just off the most westerly point of the UK mainland.

Then he mucks about a bit.

Land's End was most bizarre. It actually had a pile of assorted 'tourist attractions' which were bizarrely awesome. Including a Dr Who exhibition??

Weeping Angel, anyone?

And a little 'farm' ?! where you could feed goats and rabbits and lambs :) It was very cute and they seemed well cared for. This is Tiny Tim, bless him, who was a bit of a runt and the guy handing out the bottles was touchingly attached to him.

Then Dave went down the pub ;)

Dave enjoyed terrorising the Eden Project, a quarry turned into a huge garden with massive 'biomes' with rainforest and desert inside. This is the rainfirest biome.

Also at the Eden project there was amusing statue of a man who swung to the left.

Dave liked the bamboo.

We also visited St. Michael's Mount, somewhere else for Dave to attack. The island is accessible at low tide by a causeway.

The end of the week got hot and sunny, perfect for seeing St. Ives in all its glory.

Dave had had enough terrorising, I think he just wanted to play on the sand. And who can blame him? Hope you enjoyed our holiday pics!
