The RSC for The Jew of Malta and Volpone.
Have a picture of the stage and Dave :D The front row of Gallery 1 had very little leg room, and leaning on the rail to see was quite uncomfortable. I guess that's why the stalls were more expensive! But the seats further back in the gallery were perhaps more bearable. Stalls all the way for me at the Swan next time! You probably did get a better sense of everything, but a bit too cramped.

There was a concluding court scene and Volpone got his comeuppance. I think. I was still reeling from Steven Pacey in drag.
Sunday we headed out to the market. It was along the gardens by the theatre, and we spent too much money on hats and things, Luka stroked an owl, and much fun was had. Really great market! Then we said farewell to Louise, then it was up the tower to the restaurant there for a fab view of the town and market for some tea and coffee, watching thepterosaur glider in the sky and trapping wasps in teacups.

It really was a lovely weekend - great weather, nice food and drink, stellar company. And, of course, achieving my goal for 2015 to see Steven Pacey in theatre! And boy, it was worth it. He is talented, and was so very lovely to meet <3
