travels with a future predator

So, after Comic Con, we planned to have a couple of nights and tour a bit of Wales. Ostensibly to visit Dinorwig, which we spectacularly failed to do, but more of that later.

We had fabulous weather for 4 days, and escaped any rain at Llandudno. I really enjoyed our little excursion, and we saw some amazing things.

A few notes from the comm trip to Wiltshire, organised magnificently by Louise. Under the guise of being worthy intellectuals, or something, a trip was arranged to visit Stonehenge out-of-hours and get close to the stones, rather than having to stick to the path during opening hours with the 'normal' visitors :D

Yes, that's what I'm calling my holiday. Because the sole purpose of this trip (other than to get the camper to the south of France so my parents could take it over and have their holiday) seemed to be to get the boys to Alpe d'Huez and Mont Ventoux so that they could follow in the pedal-pushes of all those Tour de France cyclists. Although, I must admit, it was a great holiday :D A few pics here...

aka What We Did On Holiday.

Thought I'd post a few pics from a short trip we had up in the North of Scotland.

Hi everybody! I am home after our week on the Canary island of Fuerteventura, which, I was reminded, was actually the scene of filming for Primeval 2x05 as the Silurian. I hadn't really expected to see where actual filming was, it's not the tiniest of islands, but today, on return, a quick look at www.douglashenshall.com ( <- click for actual bts pics), I was amused to realise, good grief, we were actually at one of the spots, hahaha. I should have looked before I went :p

or... What I Did On Holiday. We were 2 weeks away, travelling in the camper around Scotland, covering nearly 900 miles and visiting friends and relatives, seeing some unusual and thought-provoking places steeped in history and, dare I say, wonder, of different kinds, and making me think about my past my present and my future. This may be over-egging it a little, but hey, anything else is just boring *g* Or maybe these are just blethers and a few holiday snaps :p
