Well, I've been asked by a couple of people to write up about the con, and it was very cool indeed, so I shall *g* Plus, just really want to remember all the cool stuff :)
The weather forecast earlier in the week had been terrible, but by the weekend it looked like it wouldn't be too bad. We were running a bit late, but joined the general queue about half way along the path towards the road, having walked past the million people in the early bird queue *g* Plenty of people in costume to keep us amused, including the guys behind, one of whom was dressed as a Homestuck character :D
Stay Puft Marshmallow Man was there.

It's always nice to see random characters walking by, with kids running around. Makes the queuing time fly by, lol. By the time we started moving, the queue must have been all the way around the roundabout to Argos!

There was the cutest little jawa you have ever seen. Seriously. This wee thing was CUTE. They could only have been about 4 or something.

BUT!! Beware of crimes against cosplay. "Sir! That uniform is not regulation! Get over here. On your knees. NOW!"

He has a Star Wars dressing gown on. And that was kind of it. It was funny. After that they made him lie down with his face on the ground, told him not to move, then walked away. I love a good Stormtrooper *g*
The queues disappeared like greased lightning once the doors opened, and we got straight in the queue for the Harry Potter talk. Stanislav Ianevski (Viktor Krum) seemed like a lovely, fun guy, and it was a great Q&A. He's got more hair now, and was showing plenty of arm *g* There were tales of how he tried to steal his wand by putting it down his socks, but was foiled every time. He had a lot of diving training, and he'd hated that to start with, but was a bit of a fish after all those weeks of training to dive from 10 metres off the boat. His costumes, though incredible, were very hot, heavy, and itchy *g*
When we came out we went to get photoshoot tickets, but had left it too late to get Atlantis cast! Cue disappointment. Never mind, we got the Conan Stevens one, then carried on *g*
I think we got some lunch then, lol, got that out of the way, before the queues in the canteen :p Then it was The Hobbit talk. William Kircher was a real sweetie. He was so genuinely happy with his dwarf and his role and the films. There were snatches of song, of dwarvish (ancient, because of Bifur's injury) and general enthusiasm. Super Q&A.
Heading for the autograph hall we passed Simon O'Rourke, a chainsaw artist. He'd made a Groot! And a fairy! :D

If you haven't seen him carve Batman, you want to watch it *g*
We met Hannah Spearritt in the hall. Andrew Lee Potts was away for lunch, and the Atlantis guys were away at photoshoot. But Hannah was lovely <3

I introduced her to Dave, to get him in the photo, and she was like, hey, that's cool! Did you knit that scarf? Yes, said I *g* She took a couple of photos of him, and one landed up on Twitter the next day! She has 45.5K followers, btw. Dave is famous, LOL! Loved all the replies she got to the photo. 'hi dave' ''sup, dave?' etc :D

Then we went to the Game of Thrones Q&A. We thought we might be late but they hadn't gone in yet. We had to walk the entire length of the queue, which was *enormous*. That huge hall was full for that talk, must have been 800 people or more. And they were all looking at miss's costume. I must say, I was pleased with it. It looked quite Game of Thrones-ish. I know she's not 18, but we watch it together and fast forward the icky bits :p She was dressed as Mira Forrester, a PC game character.

Game of Thrones Q&A was great. Ross Mullan, a white walker, had great stories of make-up and horses :) Everyone just called Conan Stevens 'The Mountain', and he really was. 7 foot tall :) Andy Kellegher (Polliver) was pretty funny. Josephine Gillan talked a lot *g*
It was the Primeval talk next (I've never been to so many Q&As at a con!) so here's a really bad photo of Hannah and Andrew on the sofa :)

They seemed sweet and funny, and had a bit of a dig at each other on occasion :D Hannah liked filming the dodo episode, Andrew liked 3x08 with the future and the dead cars and stuff. Neither of them thought the episode with the creepy house fitted with the rest of the series terribly well, they preferred the future predators rather than the gremlins. There was some talk of the possible film, Warner Bros has the rights now, and they would both like to be involved if it happens, but no word yet. They both agreed that if there was to be more Primeval, they would like more of the S1 situation, with Cutter, and Ryan, and Stephen (no, not Stephen, laughed Andrew!) but they expressed genuine sadness about the loss of James and Dougie from the show. Hannah loved Rex lots! Andrew was impressed with the mosasaur. Jooles asked a question, she was in the front row, and Andrew was very taken with her costume. She's naked down here, he kept saying! LOL. The last question was mine and I asked what advice they would give their characters. Hannah said, 'sack your hairdresser' and Andrew said, 'me too' :D But seriously, Andrew had a lot to say about how Connor had lost his way at the end of the series, and what a shame that was. It was a bit of a downer, really, and the host had to cheer things up a bit before it wrapped up. Oops! Oh, I do remember one funny question. Someone asked something about Matt's double/future self? seen right at the end of the series? Andrew replied it was Matt's twin! She replied, Matt didn't have a twin, and he said, how do you know?! It was funny :D
After that we went to say hello to Robert Emms, he was adorable as ever, and we got pics. I thanked him for getting me a mention on Radio 1 *g* We also said hi to Andrew Lee Potts, back at his table. He loved Dave too, hahaha, showed Hannah who of course already had met Dave :D He was very nice, I'm glad I met him. We met Garrett Wang, who was Harry Kim in Voyager. I got his pic signed for master fifiling, who has marathoned all the Star Trek series, and really enjoyed Voyager, even though he was just born as it was coming to a close. Garrett seemed genuinely happy that a young person was still able to get into Voyager, he seemed a lovely guy.
Last but not least was the Atlantis talk. It was in the smaller hall, and it was jam packed :D

It was the funniest talk all day, so much hilarity. Mark Addy is just lovely, they all are.
It all kicked off with the first question, from a young person who asked if there was going to be another series. The whole hall made 'awwww' noises! 'Who's going to break it to them?' Robert asked :) Mark was lovely and explained that the BBC had decided not to renew. Everyone booed! It was quite sad and funny too. One of the next questions wasn't a question at all, it was another young person saying how awful it was what had happened in Friday's ep! SPOILERS! Oops :D Cue more laughter and awkward avoidance of the issue. Someone asked what they were all doing now. Robert just finished filming a three part thing for the BBC, Jemima was heavily pregnant, and bemoaned the fact that no one would be employing her for a while. Mark said he'd just shot a pilot in LA, and hoped he wasn't going to get arrested for that. Pause. HAHAHAHA. :D Jack talked about Chuckle Duster, and how he'd been caught off guard during some improv when a phone had rang, he'd 'answered' it, a picture of Robert had popped up on the screen behind him, and he'd been a bit thrown, but sounds like it had gone down well, haha. And Robert was very welcome to join in for real any time, They talked a lot about hanging out together (in their underwear) on set, or now, round each other's houses, especially the boys. They clearly all love each other.
I loved the question about which other character they would play. Robert was quickest, with Pasiphae, because she is all evil, and queeny! Cue more laughter. Amy wanted to play Hercules, because she could just eat and drink as much as she wanted. Jack would play Medea, because she has lots of depth and is interesting. Mark was thinking and thinking, and coming up blank. Robert said he would love to see Mark's Oracle! That gave some very hilarious mental images, and the panel and hall were in stitches again.
They seemed itching for us all to see the last *sniff* episodes, so we must be in for a real treat. Jack said that there is one episode where he read the script and just dissolved in tears. He blamed tiredness, but it must be good!
They did talk about mucking about on set. Jack expressed how hard it was to try and do a scene when Mark and Robert were on the sidelines pointing and laughing because he can't act *g*
They were asked to put their characters in another universe. Mark thought Hercules would be good in Emmerdale *giggle* Jack would put Jason in Trollied. Jemima thought Medusa would go down well in Breaking Bad. It was all getting a bit crazy *g*
I can't remember any more. But there was much talk of underwear, laughter, and a genuine sadness that there won't be S3 :( They are proud of the next episodes, and hope we all enjoy them.
I've probably forgotten loads, sorry.
Sorry for the long, rambling blethers. We had a very good day.
